Week of the Young Child

For the past five years Discovery Gateway has celebrated the national event, Week of the Young Child. In partnership with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), this event recognizes and celebrates the importance of early childhood education. The Museum features a week of special programming and events for parents, children, and community leaders.

Bumblebee Bash
Discovery Gateway hosts the most family-friendly fundraiser in town, the Bumblebee Bash! Plan to put on your best party attire and bring the entire family for an evening of the very best Discovery Gateway offers. From hands-on activities, magic shows, and face-painters to fabulous food and awards, the Bumblebee Bash is the most fun way you can support early childhood education.

Get your little goblins, superheroes, and fairies ready for a Halloween extravaganza! Our scare-free Halloween party is full of fun surprises and hands-on activities that the whole family will enjoy.
