Discovery Gateway Hosting Free Health Fair for Children

July 14, 2021— Salt Lake City, Utah—Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum (DGCM) is hosting a Children’s Health Fair and free day at the museum that will provide a mix of activities such as free health screenings, hands-on activities, informational booths, a giant inflatable brain to explore focusing on child mental health, concert performances and games.

“As a well-known resource for families, we strive to help families improve the intellectual and physical well-being of children in our community,” said Kathleen Bodenlos CEO/Executive Director of DGCM. “We are so grateful for all our community partners and sponsors who share our desire to work towards helping the children in our community enjoy good health.”

DGCM worked with Medallion Membership partners to ensure underserved families had access to all the resources available at the Family Health Fair. The Medallion Membership Program gives free museum admission to different organizations in the community that work with children and families struggling with poverty, homelessness, and health issues. 

The Health Fair will be inside the children’s museum on July 31st from 9:00AM-1:00PM. As it is a free day at the museum, families will need to register for a specific check in time to come enjoy the various activities here.
