Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum, a non-profit organization, is proud to announce the recently opened First Utah Bank Discovery Branch! Thank you First Utah Bank for sponsoring this new exhibit and encouraging children and families to learn through play!

The First Utah Bank Discovery Branch Exhibit teaches children and families about financial literacy through engaging and fun interactives like a giant coin sorter, a wind tube that blows shredded money, a drive up window, money blocks children can stack to learn how much everyday items cost, as well as child sized ATMs, which walk children through withdrawing and depositing money. This bank exhibit is unique and the first of its kind, as it was designed and built in-houseby the Discovery Gateway Exhibits Team.

“We are pleased to have been given the opportunity to partner with Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum in the creation of the First Utah Bank Discovery Branch. Promoting financial literacy in a fun and playful environment is at the heart of the Bank’s Discovery Branch design. Financial services are also a major part of Utah’s economy and we are pleased that kids of all ages can learn from this exhibit. As a locally owned bank, we strive to enrich lives and give back to our community,” said Brad R. Baldwin, President of First Utah Bank.

The First Utah Bank Discovery Branch Exhibit continues the Museum’s revitalization plan, creating new exhibits and upgrading exhibits throughout the museum. The new bank exhibit is located in the Kid’s Eye View gallery of the museum, which is modeled after a town where children can learn important life concepts through play.
