Education has always been important to Discovery Gateway, and that is why we have Laura Cotter as our Senior Manager of Education! She helps oversee all of onsite education and our outreach program that attends schools all around the state of Utah!
Laura Cotter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Utah. She first joined DGCM’s science outreach team in July 2014. She began as an outreach educator, immediately putting her chemistry degree to use by teaching the Reaction Time program to fifth-grade students across Utah. Over the next 5 years, she worked as Operations Manager, Senior Manager of Outreach Education, and is currently the Senior Manager of Education. Under her supervision, she developed the Kindergarten science outreach program, Potential Energy, in cooperation with local early childhood education and STEM experts.
