Museum Closure:
As of March 13th 2020

Based on the guidance given today by the Utah Coronavirus Task Force, along with the recommendations of Salt Lake County and growing community concern, Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum has decided to close as of Friday, March 13th until further notice. We are taking this action to help prevent the spread of the virus, and to keep our employees, visitors and the public safe. Closing the museum means that all programs, events and fieldtrips have also been canceled for the next two weeks or until further notice.

At this time, we are unsure how long the museum will be closed, but we are closely monitoring the situation and the recommendations of the Utah Coronavirus Task Force and Salt Lake County. We will reopen when it is safe to do so. Please check our website and social media channels for updated information.

We apologize for any inconvenience and we’ll see you again as soon as it’s safe to reopen the museum. We understand that this can be a stressful and concerning time and we will do everything we can to communicate effectively with any developments.
