Medallion Day at Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum

Salt Lake City—October 18, 2022—Discovery Gateway Children's Museum is hosting Medallion Day on October 22, 2022. Medallion Days provide unique programming to all museum guests and free admission to pre-registered children and families through the Medallion Partner Program.

Programming for Saturday’s event includes the kickoff of the Trailblazer Series, featuring prominent members of Salt Lake City’s diverse community. At 11 AM in the STEAM Lab, Candyce Fly Lee, VP and General Manager of Williams Company, will give a fun presentation to children to talk about leading a major corporation. The first thirty children to arrive will be given a free activity book.

At 4 PM, Divya School of Dance will give a performance and demonstration of Classical Indian Dance with audience participation in the Scheels Sporting Goods space on the museum's third floor.

The Medallion Program is funded through the DGCM’s fundraising efforts. PNC is generously providing funding for this special day. The children's museum raises funds in order to provide free museum admission to children and families who are served by other nonprofit organizations such as Head Start and Ronald McDonald House.

Sizzling Platter Lend-A-Hand Program will also provide a Little Caesars’s Pizza lunch specifically for Medallion Families. Medallion families must pre-register with their nonprofit organization to participate in the Medallion Partner Day on October 22.
