Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum Introduces Weekly Live-Streamed Science Experiment

SALT LAKE CITY Utah, January 29th, 2021 - Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum introduces a new weekly live-streamed science experiment.

Discovery Gateway is launching a new series of live-streamed science experiments for families! Families will have the chance to watch educators demonstrate and explain a scientific concept (and they may even light something on fire!). “We are excited to launch this new weekly program” says Kathleen Bodenlos, Executive Director. “Not only will it be another fun interactive experience for our visitors in the gallery but by simultaneously live streaming it, all our social media friends will be able to enjoy it at the same time.”

Live streams will occur every Friday at 4:30 pm and can be viewed on Discovery Gateway Children’s Museums’ social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram lives).

“We recognize how important it is for children to be exposed to science from a young age,” says Laura Cotter, Senior Manager of Education. “Children are natural scientists, discovering the world around them and looking for explanations for the natural phenomena they experience every day. We want to nurture their curiosity and encourage scientific reasoning that will stay with them as they grow and help them succeed in all aspects of their lives.”

Bodenlos emphasis “Our ultimate goal is to provide a safe learning through play museum experience for children and their families. We will continue to add interactive, no touch programs that will also be live streamed so stay tuned!”
