Discovery Gateway Brings Snakes Into the Museum for World Snake Day
July 2, 2021--- Salt Lake City, Utah---Snake and reptile lovers can “slither” their way to Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum (DGCM) on Friday July 16th at 12:00PM, to celebrate World Snake Day partnered with Scales and Tails Utah.
This scale-filled day, included with admission, will feature interactive educational programming, styled crafts and a LIVE reptile show where children can actively learn and meet live snakes and reptiles including a 6-9 foot python!
“Children have a natural curiosity about their world and these types of early interactions at a young age will instill a lifelong love of learning.” said Kathleen Bodenlos, CEO/Executive Director. “We feel great about offering programs that give parents a memorable way to bond with their children.
“Ssssure” to put a smile on your child’s face, your family will not want to miss out on this fun packed day at the museum. "We are super excited to share our love of snakes and all things that slither with the Children's Museum because when children understand the significance and importance of snakes in our ecosystem, they grow and become those people who make change, change that helps our environment, ecosystems and overall appreciation for animals that are often misunderstood,” said Rindy Richins, Scales and Tails Utah Co-Owner.Families will be able to attend all day educational programming and enjoy the show at 12:00PM in the museum’s theater room.
