Discovery Gateway Hosts Panel Discussion About ChildMental Health and Covid-19
September 20, 2021--- Salt Lake City, Utah---Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum (DGCM) is hosting a town hall panel discussion on the subject of children’s mental health during the ongoing COVID pandemic at the museum that will offer a forum of discovery for parents to ask experts and share their own experiences.
Delving into their experiences, knowledge and research expertise, the panel will discuss the pandemic’s impact on Utah’s children and provide families an open hour of discussion around concerns and needs of the community.
The panel will be moderated by Children’s Museum CEO and Executive Director, Kathleen Bodenlos and three guests including:
- Jen Makin, Owner and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor at One by One Behavioral Health
- Jeremy Reynoso, Salt Lake City School District Elementary Kindergarten Teacher
- Andrew Fontes, Utah Pediatrician
“At the children’s museum, we are a community resource that cares about every child’s learning and mental health.” said Kathleen Bodenlos CEO/Executive Director of DGCM. “By providing an open forum for parents to ask experts questions and share their own experiences, we are offering a helpful forum for parents at this free event and hope every parent joins us.”
The town hall panel discussion will be held on Thursday September 30th from 6:30PM to 8:00PM in the Children’s Museum Theater next to admissions. Further information about the panel can be found on the Children’s Museum website here.
