Sea Life Sun-Catcher for Ocean Month!

Our Journey into the Ocean has taken us to many places! From sharks, to ocean zones, and other sea life, we have been able to learn about so much through play! This fun activity will let your child learn about different sea animals that live in the ocean, while making a fun sun-catcher that they will be able to display in their bedroom window!

Materials Needed:

  • Laminator
  • Laminator Sheets
  • Scissors
  • Colored Paper
  • Tissue Paper

Once you have all the supplies that you need, cut the colored paper into fun animal and plant life shapes and arrange them on one side of the laminate sheet! Once you have the scene perfect, tear the different colored tissue paper and place them over your display. You can use light yellows for the sea bed and different color blues for the layers of the ocean! After you are done, seal the sheet and simply run it through the laminator!

Once it is sealed completely, trim any sides and display it in the sun! You will be able to see all the fun shapes and colors of the ocean!
