Buildin’ Muscles
Ages 3 and up

In this activity students will learn what types of foods will keep their muscles strong, as well as make their own healthy recipe! Each of these ingredients can help keep our body strong! Fruit has vitamins that we need to stay healthy, and yogurt can be a good source of calcium. By using natural sugars, like honey, we can add some sweetness in a healthy way.


  • Greek Yogurt
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Honey
  • Fruit (Strawberries, Blueberries, Kiwi, Etc.)
  • Granola
  • Cookie Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Spatula


  1. Place 2 cups of plain Greek yogurt into the bowl
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of honey
  4. Mix ingredients together with spatula
  5. Place parchment paper on cookie sheet
  6. Pour yogurt mixture onto cookie sheet, spread around with spatula
  7. Wash and cut fruit into small bite sized pieces
  8. Sprinkle fruit pieces on top of yogurt
  9. Sprinkle granola on top of yogurt
  10. Place cookie sheet in the freezer until yogurt mixture is frozen (about 2 hours)
