Donors are essential in helping us deliver
a fantastic museum experience
for every family

The Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1978. We rely on the generosity of our community to be able to provide amazing exhibits, events, and programs for our visitors. There are two pathways to support:

Individual supporters play an important role in the evolution and advancement of our organization. There are opportunities for individuals to support specific exhibits, contribute to our Museum Inclusion Fund ensuring ALL kids can access our museum, becoming one of our critical monthly giving partners, and support our Arts Enrichment Fund to give families access to a full STEAM education.

Corporations and Foundations are crucial to the ongoing success of our museum. We invite corporate/foundation partners to explore building an exhibit with us, help us support opportunities for ALL families to access the museum, and provide funding to ensure that we can help our visitors receive a well-rounded STEAM education.

All of our donors will enjoy being associated with a well-known Utah family brand and (depending on level of involvement), may have access to discounted facility rentals, bulk membership discounts, special events, and more!

We are currently fundraising for our upcoming Community Garden exhibit as well as our Museum Inclusion Fund

At our organization, we strongly believe in giving back to the community and making a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged children. We established partnerships with various local organizations that share our vision and are dedicated to serving these children.

One of the initiatives we undertake every year is organizing special museum visits for underprivileged children. We understand that not all children have the means or opportunities to explore museums and cultural institutions. With donations from our generous sponsors, we are able to take it upon ourselves and ensure that these children get the chance to experience the wonders of art, history, and science.

We coordinate with all related departments within our organization. We carefully plan for Medallion Days, ensuring that the museum is open on specific days when the children can visit without any charge.

However, none of this would be possible without the generous support of our kind sponsors. We are incredibly grateful to First Utah Bank, Sizzling Platter, ACE Fund, George S. & Dolores Dore Eccles Foundation, PNC Foundation, Rocky Mountain Power, PROG Foundation/Progressive Leasing, Swanson Family Foundation, Williams Foundation and many more of our supportive sponsors for their unwavering support and sponsorship. Their contributions enable us to cover the costs associated with organizing these special museum visits, including transportation, educational materials, and any additional resources required to enhance the children’s experience.

Through these collaborative efforts, we aim to inspire and empower children and families in need, providing them with opportunities to learn, grow, and broaden their horizons. By exposing them to the world of museums and cultural institutions, we hope to ignite their curiosity, foster a love for learning, and encourage them to dream big.
