Whether your child loves painting, dancing, stories, or scientific exploration our programming offers fun and educational classes that range from literacy and culturally-based activities, and science programming, to visual and performing arts. Discovery Gateway’s daily classes are free with admission to the Museum, and every Discovery Gateway program is based on research, evaluation, and testing.
Curiosity Shop Classes
Early Childhood programs serve as the platform for learning through experiential play. Classes are recommended for children ages 18 months to 8 years and include Music in Motion, Times for Tots, Creative Kids, Little Scientist, and Dollars & Cents.
Studio + Lab
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) programs offer a wide variety of inquiry-based, participant-focused, and engaging experiences focused on STEAM. Programs vary from 10 – 15 minute introductory activities to in-depth 30 – 60 minute family learning experiences. Recommended for children ages 2+ yrs.
Discover and connect with Utah’s diverse communities during World Connections events throughout the year where many community groups, local artists, and performers are invited to share their talents and cultural traditions with children and families.

STEAM powered summer camps at Discovery Gateway keep your children’s gears turning all summer long! Discovery Gateway offers a variety of summer camps for children K- 6th grade. We offer half and full day camps focusing on a variety of topics from science to art.

This year, the 2020 World Connections Children’s Festival will be a new, virtual experience. Children’s Festival To-Go! invites you to celebrate the diverse cultures in Utah by joining us on a road trip across the state and sharing new virtual experiences.
Join Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum in a coding class especially for kids ages 6-8. We’ll be using CodeSpark to learn about algorithms, loops, debugging, and more!
