Discover the Power of Play!

Discovery Gateway children’s museum is located in the Gateway Mall in downtown Salt Lake City. Discovery Gateway offers 60,000 square feet of interactive, hands-on fun. Come explore our engaging workshops, programs, and exhibits that invite the whole family to create, learn, and play together!

At 1,600 square feet, the Move It exhibit is an expansive play space featuring a challenging obstacle course, an adventurous dig pit, a cushioned mat area for yoga and stretching, and a multi-use space for jump roping and hula hooping. Children will love the new Move It exhibit because it encourages them to develop gross motor skills through fun physical activities. 60 minutes a day of play and physical activity is recommended for children, and with all that jumping, balancing, hopping, crawling, sliding, stretching, and digging in Move It, those 60 minutes are easily guaranteed!
Exhibit generously sponsored by The Lawrence T. & Janet T. Dee Foundation, Ferrari Color, Lakeshore Learning, The Color Run.

Discovery Gateway is a designated Good to Grow museum by the Association of Children’s Museums, and the Move It exhibit is part of our Good to Grow programming. The Good to Grow initiative’s key messages are eating good foods, getting plenty of exercise, reducing screen time, and connecting with the outdoors.
